Michelle has been performing for more than 30 years in musical theatre. Her love of folk music was kindled in a Jr. High School group called “Young Folk”, where she fell in love with many of the songs she still performs today. From her humble beginnings, as a Wench at His Majesty’s Feast she performed at London’s Grand (A Christmas Carol), did Toronto Dinner Theatre, and toured with a Children’s Theatre Company, the Inner Stage.
She has appeared in numerous concerts and musicals on Mississauga’s stages since 1990 and is currently a regular soloist with Windmill Theatre, a performing arts/cabaret concert group. She is proud to participate in “On the Verandah” with the band, for 6 years now, raising funds for Museums of Mississauga. Michelle co-created “Schtick on the Ice – the Hockey Musical”, with Chris which performed at many Mississauga events such as the RBC cup.
Michelle shared the 1998 Encore Series Best Actress Award with fellow AOR Maria Moore, for her performance as Annie Oakley in Annie Get your Gun. Favorite credits include Pennywise (Urinetown), Emma Goldman (Ragtime).
